Academy at CaraVita CNA Program – Classes on Hold<\/h3>\n

\n\nCaraVita prides itself on its commitment to education for families, caregivers, and professionals in all types of settings. This commitment has led to The Academy at CaraVita creating an all-new, state-licensed, Certified Nursing Assistant Class, which begins September 20th, 2019! Applications are due by September 9th, 2019.<\/p>\n
During our six-week CNA program at CaraVita, you’ll learn:<\/p>\n

- Foundations of resident care<\/li>\n
- Role of caregivers in long-term care<\/li>\n
- State-guidelines for personal care skills such as bathing, dressing, ambulation, toiling, oral hygiene and positioning<\/li>\n
- Basic nursing skills such as vital skills, catheter care, and perineal care<\/li>\n
- Nutrition and hydration<\/li>\n
- Rehabilitation and restorative care<\/li>\n
- Understanding residents and families<\/li>\n
- Caring for the caregiver<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
The Academy at CaraVita has classes on Friday and Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM, with clinical observations occurring during the sixth and final week of instruction. The clinical observations will be held at a local area nursing home. The total cost of classes is $1,000, with a $100 deposit required to hold your spot. This includes teaching, state testing registration fee ($113 value), and uniform for clinicals.
