Recognized for excellence in Alzheimer’s and dementia care.

We have some exciting news to share!

Elder Care Review magazine has recognized CaraVita Home Care as a Top Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care Services Provider for 2026. The recognition, certified by the publication’s editorial board and dated April 2026, is determined through a process that draws on independent editorial research, family and caregiver nominations, subscriber input, and professional evaluations reflecting quality of care, family support, and trust within the elder care community.

For our team, this recognition means a great deal. Not because of the award itself, but because of what it points to: the families we’ve walked alongside, the caregivers who show up every day with skill and heart, and a way of caring for people living with dementia that we’ve spent 27 years developing and refining.

Where It All Began

Our founder and CEO, Beth Cayce, has been close to dementia since she was 16 years old, when she became a primary caregiver for a family member living with the disease. She learned early that love and devotion alone aren’t always enough — and that truly meaningful support requires more. When she entered professional training, she found dementia education largely focused on safety rather than engagement. Yet she knew, from personal experience, that people living with dementia could still participate fully in life when their care partners understood how to prompt, cue, and connect in the right ways.

That conviction became the foundation of everything CaraVita has built.

“Effective dementia care begins with empathy, structured family discovery and personalized engagement — transforming daily tasks into meaningful rhythms that restore dignity, joy and connection.” — Beth Cayce, Founder and CEO

The Dementia Life™ Program

At the heart of our approach is Dementia Life™, our proprietary training and program that combines education, experiential training, and real-world problem-solving. Rather than following a standard protocol, we build care around each person’s life story — their history, their personality, what brings them joy, what helps them feel grounded and connected.

When care aligns with identity, real connection is not only possible, but it changes everything.

A Continuous, Evolving Partnership

Dementia is progressive, and care has to move with it. Our model uses a continuous loop of observation, reassessment, and coaching — simplifying cues as processing slows, adjusting support as physical needs change. We’re never setting a care plan and stepping away. We stay engaged, so families always feel supported and confident as their loved one’s journey unfolds.

Our process begins with a discovery call and participation in the Virtual Dementia Tour® — an immersive experiential tool we offer in partnership with Second Wind Dreams — followed by a home visit to assess environment, safety, and individual needs. We then develop a personalized plan that includes mapping a daily flow, respite support, engagement strategies, and hands-on coaching for both families and our caregivers.

We also offer Masterful Moments, an experiential training program recognized by the Alzheimer’s Association after curriculum review for its alignment with evidence-based Dementia Care Practice Recommendations.

Clinical Oversight You Can Count On

What sets CaraVita apart in a Metro Atlanta market of 400+ agencies isn’t just our philosophy — it’s our infrastructure. Our in-house clinical team includes registered nurses (RNs), licensed master social workers (MSWs), and certified geriatric care managers (GCMs). All of our caregivers are W-2 employees — never independent contractors — and receive ongoing training through Academy at CaraVita, our proprietary in-house education program.

This recognition from Elder Care Review reflects the work of an entire team. We’re proud of it — and we’re grateful to every family who has trusted us with the care of someone they love.
